Synopsis

Set in the California Gold Country during the late 1880s Livin' By The Gun is a cautionary folk tale of betrayal, redemption and death. The main character, Uncle, becomes a heartless, cold blooded hired killer, when his dream of a normal life is shattered. Twenty years after tragedy destroyed his dream, Uncle returns to the remnants of his family homestead. He is confronted by his head strong twenty year old Niece. The Niece has been taught her Uncle was the cause of the family's troubles and the death of her father. Her hatred causes a bitter argument which causes Uncle's hasty departure. The Niece becomes hell bent to avenge her families misfortunes. She vows to find and kill her Uncle for the wrongs she believes he committed, Seeking revenge leads the Niece on a journey filled with danger. In order to survive and stay on the trail of her Uncle, she must become as ruthless and dangerous as her prey. The events that follow will forever change and reshape their lives. Before their final confrontation they each find redemption in unexpected places.

Press Reviews
  • The Stockton Record (on 10/30/10 )
" I am big on stories that get me emotional, almost bring me to tears and make me care about the characters. "Livin' by the Gun" did that, and did it without surgically enhanced professional actors, a slick script or the big money Hollywood uses. "
