Reason To Live (2010)

REASON TO LIVE is an action / drama story about a second chance at happiness in life. It is an exciting and heart thumping ‘thrill a minute’ theatrical ride supported by a strong, poignant back story of mid‐life romance in a cynical and very dangerous world.

Intended for an international audience, the film tells the story of a man and a woman who find a reason in each other to rise above the mundane existence each had been living. A reason to wear their hearts on their sleeves once more and live each moment afresh.

Except that he is a convicted murderer in a witness protection program. And when his past catches up with him, what they both stand to lose becomes more valuable than their own lives.

Synopsis:

A story inspired by true events, James Martorano was one of the most notorious hit men in Boston mob history. Now after 12 years on death row his time has come.

With the Boston mafia growing out of control, the authorities have no choice but to strike a deal with James - they will spare his life if he agrees to take down the very men he worked for.

In March 2005 James Martorano takes part in a sting operation that results in one of the biggest crime-bust successes in US history, ending sucessfully with the arrest and conviction of 4 major crime bosses in the Boston area.

December 2005 - he is publicly 'put to death' by lethal injection in front of a room full of witnesses and media, according to original schedule. Later that evening, in the basement of the morgue, James awakes and is relocated to Singapore to begin a new life.

A quiet, simple life. Or so he thought.
