The Gerber Syndrome - The Gerber Syndrome
Synopsis

A handshake, a hug or even a kiss... it's all too easy to be infected by a virus. But, yet, this time it is not just any virus. We have now discovered the Gerber syndrome, a new viral outbreak that does not look like your average flu. A television crew is making a documentary about this new epidemic, The Gerber Syndrome: A highly contagious virus with devastating effects. Through the testimony
of three people that are directly involved with the disease (a doctor, an infected girl, a young security agent) the truth is revealed, and it is more terrifying than what authorities want us to believe. The Gerber Syndrome is already among us. And it is all too contagious...

Press Reviews
  • Twitch Film (on 00/00/00 )
" Maxi Dejoie's The Gerber Syndrome looks to be an impressive new entry in the canon of faux-documentary style horror. "
    by Todd Brown
  • Screen International (on 11/17/11 )
" A low-budget, Italian-speaking contribution to two currently-thriving anxiety genres – the documentary horror/SF movie and the pandemic paranoia picture [...] it’s mostly an effective, upsetting account of an imaginary disease outbreak. "
