Boris is an illegal Russian immigrant who tries to make it in the suburbs of Washington DC. He is homeless and jobless yet he tells his family how successful he is in America. He meets a French pimp, Francois who runs an escort service in DC. Francois introduces the cowboy to Toshigahara, a twisted drug dealer. Both the pimp and the drug dealer are obsessed with Japanese Samurai films and naked women. They give Boris a run for his money. The cowboy soon discovers that life is not that easy in America. The entire film is seen from the prospective of an older couple from Mongolia. They become critiques on the Russian cowboy and on the film as they watch the film and comment on it. A hilarious dark comedy.
