Nino Cimino has no friends on cinesouq yet

Born in the Chicago area to Italian immigrants (his mother from Rome, his father from Sicily) Nino Cimino grew up working at his parents family pizzeria. In July of 2001, at the age of 21, Nino moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. He studied acting and filmmaking at the Piero Dusa Conservatory in Santa Monica. He studied intensely for two years under Piero Dusa. In which time, Nino also appeared in various plays, and local commercials. Upon completing the two-year program in 2003, Nino started up Cimino Productions. He wrote, produced and directed his first short film, a comedy entitled "Searching For A Room". Following that project, in 2006 Nino wrote, produced, and directed his first feature film, the drama "Joey's Redemption". While playing supporting parts in those two films, in 2007 Nino decided to play the lead role in his second short film, the romantic comedy "Too Many Girls", which he once again wrote, produced, and directed. His first SAG project, "Too Many Girls" has been entered in various film festivals around California. In 2008, with an intent to experiment in shooting an action film, Cimino wrapped filming his second SAG short film "Bring 'Em In", in which he once again wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. In 2009, Cimino wrote the crime drama "This Is Who I Am", a SAG feature film which began filming in May of 2009. It has Cimino serving as Executive Producer and sole financier of the project, as well as playing the main character. Co-starring veteran actors Frank Stallone ("Rocky") and Robert Miano ("Donnie Brasco") "This Is Who I Am" has already received interest from several home video distribution companies Keeping that same committed intensity towards the work that he developed at the acting conservatory, Nino Cimino always strives to produce films that will challenge his creative side as an actor.
