After I receive an offer from a distributor, what do I need to do?
Prepare a contract including the entities involved, the term of years, the rights licensed, financial terms, if an advance to be paid or is it a distribution deal, how much royalty you will get from the back end, what are the expenses the distributor will recoup that might lower your take at the end.You can find a sample contract in word document that you can utilize and doctor to meet your needs.
You can also hire us to do the final negotiations, the contracts, collect the advance and deliver the picture to the distributor on your behalf, we charge a fee for this service. (fees)
