bitRipper is FREE DVD to AVI software that allows you to back-up your DVD's as AVI files on the hard drive. It can be used for one-click ripping as good as for advanced modes. You are free to choose whether to use default configuration values or to set them manually. There are all necessary settings available:

Quick start

With bitRipper the start will be really quick. All you have to do is:

• Put the DVD into your DVD drive
• Start bitRipper
• Choose source DVD drive (if bitRipper didn’t guess)
• Specify the output file path and name (if you’re not satisfied with the default value)
• Click Start ripping...

That's it. Nothing more to do. bitRipper will inform you when the job is done.

Additional software recommended

bitRipper uses audio and video codec modules installed on your system. The more codecs are installed, the more compressing methods are available to choose from.
